VIRTUAL JOB FAIRS

POSTED MARCH 11, 2014 BY JOHN ROBERTS

National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Virtual Job Fairs provide NHSC-approved sites with the opportunity to promote their job openings and “virtually recruit” a targeted audience of primary care job seekers. Virtual Job Fairs are planned throughout 2014 and will begin in the spring; specific dates will be posted on the NHSC Virtual Job Fair website.

The 2014 schedule of Virtual Job Fairs will focus on all primary care disciplines and will target audiences of interest, including: Tribal sites and clinics, NHSC scholars, border sites and veterans. In addition, Virtual Job Fairs will be held in May to highlight nurses during National Nurses Week, and all primary care providers during National Primary Care week in the fall.

NHSC Virtual Job Fairs allow scholars and clinicians to learn about exciting job opportunities that are available at NHSC-approved sites across the country. During the NHSC Virtual Job Fair, each site will have approximately 15 minutes in a “virtual room” to discuss their site, the community they serve and the positions available, as well as interact with clinicians seeking job opportunities. After the job fair, each site’s information, job openings, and contact information will be provided to the participants.
